Professional Service Consultant

This role will be responsible for the implementation of a suite of software and SaaS solutions, including customer assessment, project scoping, configuration, installation, training, testing, production switch over and documentation/reporting. The role is a mix of business analysis and project management with a consulting role and with technical tasks as installation, configuration and testing.

Key Tasks / Duties:
Pre-sales area:

  • Participate in pre-sales activities (prototype, demos), Participating in bids, writing the technical part of a proposal
  • Provide help for marketing activities: exhibitions, presentations, workshops

Consulting area:

  • Delivery of technical professional services remotely or at customer sites for our solutions
  • Making audits/study of the needs: analyze the documents flow chart of a company, designing solutions, defining the business rules, producing project scope documentation
  • Preparing installations and configurations of Esker solutions
  • Developing custom solutions in JavaScript
  • Writing materials and deliver training on Esker solutions to Partners and Customers,

Customers Post sales area:

  • Follow up of technical problems linked to installations, configurations like features request or bugs
  • Forward complex technical problems to the 2nd Level support and R&D for resolution and improve customer satisfaction

Others:

  • Maintain advanced knowledge of our solution and knows customer’ problems
  • Ability to travel extensively
  • Works in relationship with Sales Rep / Country Manager, Customers and Prospects, Partners, International Technical Support and Product Management
  • May have access to Customer’s PHI and/or ePHI while performing Professional Services specifically requested by the Customer
  • To participate and involve with Customer Experience team on on-going management of customer relationships, loyalty and support

Educational Requirements:

  •  Degree in Computer Science or Engineering

Essential Experience:

  • 3+ years – hands-on experience in software implementations (preferably in a software company or system integrator)

Competencies:

  • Good knowledge of JavaScript
  • Strong customer-facing skills/ customer services skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to assess customers’ technical and business needs
  • Ability to conduct design and requirement assessment workshops by engaging effectively with all stakeholders
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast paced environment and be involved in multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable to be part of a team or work independently to meet project objectives
  • Team worker Hands on
  • Learning oriented, open minded to new situations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English, a second language (Mandarin, Cantonese or French) will be a plus.
