How does the solution work?

The Esker data capture module works hand in hand with the integrated image recognition technology (OCR, ICR, barcode recognition), providing the missing intelligence to accurately extract relevant information from sales orders. The solution makes sense of character sequences extracted using OCR, relying on context based recognition, key words, fuzzy search, number computation and automatic data validation - where extracted information is cross-checked against your existing databases. The module handles multiple languages and single or multi-page customer orders.

Advanced table recognition Intelligent data capture enables accurate detection of PO line item information using several table recognition mechanisms. The system is programmed to recognise table structure using header and line item reference fields identification.

PO layout auto-learning The system automatically learns how to better and more accurately recognise the desired information as the user makes corrections to the default recognition. The mechanism works transparently to make recognition adjustments painless.

PO data recognition teaching Whereas the auto-learning function works automatically, the teaching function is initiated by the user. The user activates this mode to teach the system more sophisticated ways of extracting data. For example, users will be able to indicate specific patterns to help the system more successfully extract the right information within the PO.
