With the Esker Sales Order Processing module, CSRs benefit from end-to-end capabilities for receiving, entering and tracking customer orders - encompassing automated capture and posting, routing for exception handling and detailed reporting.

How does the solution work?

When a fax, email, paper or electronic order arrives, Esker DeliveryWare captures data such as customer name, product SKUs and due date for routing, processing and indexing. No predefined templates are needed. Captured data is automatically validated against ERP data and then transferred to ERP order management application.

An image of the sales order is directly linked to the new business transaction, allowing users to view original documents without leaving the ERP system. The document may be physically stored within Esker DeliveryWare content management solution or other archiving systems. Confirmations are automatically sent to the customer upon creation of the entry in the ERP. The solution keeps track of all incoming documents all the way through to their creation in the ERP; allowing process monitoring and control. In addition process automation it guarantees consistency.

Automatic document routing
POs, whether recieved by email, fax, EDI or the web, are automatically routed to the correct wokflow path - either straight-through for integration in the ERP if no exception has been identified, or for user validation when applicable.
Intelligent data capture
Coupled with the OCR technology, the Dynamic Document Capture (DDC) module extracts the relevant information from incoming customer orders, allowing complete sales order processing automation. No need to maintain recognition templates for each customer PO layout.
Special handling and approval workflow
There are numerous cases where customer PO will require special handling such as special shipping instructions or pricing conditions. Specific content in the document triggers the special handling workflow.
ERP integration
Esker DeliveryWare includes a set of connectors that allows the solution to integrate with any entreprise system or applications.
Archiving
